Keep Your Precious Puffer in Perfect Shape
We know the winter season comes with sludge and mud stains. That’s why it’s important to keep your kids’ outerwear clean. At Appaman, we want your jacket to last as long as possible, so it’s very important to follow the care labels that come attached!
We recommend you wash your coats each season. Who knows what lies within the seams and feathers of your kiddo's favorite winter coat! Germs, drool, and more.... Yuck!
- Before washing your Appaman coat, make sure to take off any faux fur trim, as washing can weaken the fibers, causing them to fall out.
- To detangle the faux trim, consider taking a firm bristle brush and brush in the direction of the hair. If you need, lightly spot clean with water and color-safe soap. Rinse well and hang to dry!
- Our Appaman Down coats can be machine washed and dried! Just be sure to remove any fur trim! Drying must be done slowly and completely using low heat. You can also hang dry them, but that might take a little longer.
- If you are washing your jacket before packing it away for the warmer season, make sure it’s fully dry – you definitely don’t want mildew growing!
